Students
Over the course of a year, you’ll plan and organise a local community campaign that makes a tangible change for the environment.
If you complete the written part of the course you will get a Level 3 qualification in Community Campaigning, with 8 UCAS points.
- You’ll learn how to make positive changes happen in your community or college
- 8 UCAS points and a Level 3 qualification to put on your CV
- Build your confidence in public speaking, or in one-to-one conversations
- Meet other young people who share your concerns for the environment
- A 3-day, all expenses paid residential trip to the national Youth Gathering
How does it work
As part of the course, you’ll receive:
- Intensive training days in community campaigning during half term in your region
- Fortnightly one-to-one tuition and coaching
- Weekly campaign support as you meet with others to organise your campaign in college
Graduation takes place at Friends of the Earth’s 3-day national Youth Gathering in July, with environmentalists from across the UK. Participants get free tickets, travel, food and accommodation.
